Helmholtz energy alliance

The Helmholtz Energy Alliance is part of the Helmholtz Research Programs in the field of Efficient Energy Conversion (EEC). Competencies and research activities were combined in a truly multi-disciplinary research field, covering chemical reaction engineering, multiphase flows, numerical simulation and process design, process and multiphase measurement techniques, catalysis and chemical reactor technologies with the objective to derive energy saving potentials in chemical processes and to develop methods and tools for an improved process understanding, process control and process simulation. The research work of the alliance was organized in five research topics:
